DNV engagement kicked off, to provide independent Technology Qualification of X-Lay® for a range of none CWC and CWC pipe sizes in 2026 and 2027, as per DNV-RP-A203 process.

Seed Capital secured into Restore Subsea Pte Ltd from several Strategic International Investors. We currently have a runway for Restore Subsea Pty Ltd to establish the core team & systems, increase marketing, kickoff DNV-RP-A203, progress key engineering, plus secure early MOU(s) and contract(s). We are planning on a Series A raise in Q1 2026.

Restore Subsea was invited by the West Australian Government to be part of a Trade Delegation in Aberdeen for SPE Offshore Europe. The WA Govt representatives included DEED and DMPE. The key Australian Operators with subsea removal liabilities also attended. It was great to engage with potential North Sea based Contractors and Partners, plus to see the much bigger subsea removal problem they are now facing in the UK & Europe, albeit it seems further down the path than Australia.

Atteris is an expert subsea pipeline consultant, engaged to complete an independent review of X-Lay and to provide their opinion and recommendations. This was provided via Investor DD under NDA to support Seed raising.

Our founder presented in KL. Thailand had gone first globally at scale with >300km of subsea pipelines removed at the time for unique contractual reasons, but it seems the rest of SEA is likely to be much later to commit than Australia.

Seeking an Operator and/or Contractor to be a 1st mover in Malaysia for X-Lay®, which could also be applied in Australia to use Case 5 for our forecast 274km of <15m WD pipelines in 2029, followed by Use Case 1 or 5, for >600km of pipelines, before potentially being used for Cladtek Rapid Pipelines through the 2030’s.

A patent for X-Lay was Granted in the UK. Patents are currently still pending in Australia & the USA.

Our founder first presented X-Lay® to the wider industry at this conference. The theme of "Recovering the Past & Facilitating the Future", was as developed in conjunction with Cladtek.

This is a Cladtek Rapid Pipe System, that installs rapid pipe in 400' long joints on a very long wind farm CSV in shallower waters. X-Lay® can enable this same system to also be used for the reverse removal of very large diameter and/or deepwater welded pipelines in 400' long joints in the same campaign.

This is a semi J-Lay case, that installs rapid pipe in 160' long joints on a >120m Long CSV. X-Lay® can enable this same system to also be used for the reverse removal of very large diameter and/or deepwater welded pipelines in 160' long joints in the same campaign.

The alternate bid was to remove both flexible flowlines and steel pipelines without exposing the inside of each pipe joint to the ocean environment, plus significant cost savings resulting from 1 x instead of 2 x mobilisations.

Our founder first attended a decommissioning specific conference in Perth 2023 and gauged a lack of interest within the mature players in the subsea market, for a potentially huge looming problem.

CODA introduced X-Lay® to Australian Operators, on behalf of the founder. The feedback from key Operators seemed to be low interest in considering unqualified options.

The founder joined CODA and first introduced X-Lay® to them. CODA committed to relay the founder's proposal to discuss directly with key Australian Operators.

Woodside submitted an initial EP in 2020, proposing that leaving this pipeline in situ would result in an ALARP environmental outcome relative to their OPGGSA obligation for full removal. NOPSEMA rejected this for various reasons as noted in their "Key Matters report", which seems to have set a precedent in Australia, plus potentially globally.

A patent for X-Lay® was filed internationally, including commissioning of a search report and opinion.

The Contractor provided the Operator with a conforming bid using a DP2 S-Lay vessel, plus an alternate bid based on our X-Lay® solution - using a much lower day rate DP2 CSV.

Our founder saw a potential major looming problem in Australia and Thailand, with inadequate solutions. He had a light bulb moment, filed a provisional patent and the seed of X-Lay® was created.
